This really is one of the better things I have listened to in the past couple of years and, considering it’s from a genre I don’t ordinarily pick up, that’s saying something. Whatever unknown factor caused me to choose this, I hope it makes itself known again in the future as it landed on a real winner! So the whole ‘must read it because I love this author’ thing didn’t apply either. I don’t know why this one jumped out at me (the cover is hardly inspiring) and despite being quite a well-known author, I had never read anything by him. It’s rare that I go for thrillers but I have decided to broaden my horizons a little and try and squeeze a few more of them in here or there.
